About 

Yvonne Caro Caro is a prolific international Puerto Rican actress whose work encompasses theater, film, television and voice over. Her prominent and diverse, classical-theater performances include the title role in Jean Anouilh’s Antigone, Annie in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, and Madam Ranevskaya in Tanya Saracho’s adapatation of The Cherry Orchard, El Nogalar. Caro Caro’s portrayal of leading roles in record-breaking theater and television projects such as El insólito caso de Miss. Piña Colada and Clase del 90 parts I and II made her one of the most sought-after actresses in Puerto Rico as well as one of the most recognized

faces of her generation. 

Caro Caro has taken on impossible roles and made them believable. She became 7-year-old Helen Keller

in The Miracle Worker, and she is still remembered for her performance of Elf, a part created for her by internationally recognized director, Ramon Pareja,

in his hit production of Cyrano de Bergerac. She has played leading roles in top-rated series and films such as Al borde del deseo and Sudor amargo. In Los Angeles, she has worked alongside Alfred Molina

in Monday Mornings and with Tracee Ellis Ross in Girlfriends, among others.

Yvonne Caro Caro

Beyond her work as an actress, the play, Tina Modotti, A Dream of Revolution, which she co-developed and performed throughout Puerto Rico, established Caro Caro as a theater maker of importance. As late theater critic and playwright Abniel Marat wrote in El Vocero de Puerto Rico, “this incredible woman is a talent for life and art.”

 

Yvonne earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Acting from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and TV, where she was granted a merit scholarship and the Laura Pells Award, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Theater from the University of Puerto Rico.
